Background:
My twenty-year career helping clients with embodied mindfulness techniques began with the call to teach Yoga. And it was just that: a clear calling to a life path at age 22 that continues to inspire me. I grew up in the Boston area and began the journey of studying the healing arts after graduating from Trinity college with a BA in English Literature. In the years since, I’ve continued as a student of Yoga and Buddhist psychology, became a massage therapist which taught me new nuances about the body-mind connection, studied western psychotherapy and, as a lifelong scholar, the next step was learning Ayurveda. A sister science to Yoga, Ayurvedic medicine is integral to the Yogic path. I studied at the premier school for Ayurveda outside of India, the Ayurvedic Institute, under world-renowned teacher, Dr. Vasant Lad. I’m currently pursing a graduate degree in the field of psychology.
It’s my great honor to share an individualized treatment approach that blends the disciplines of Yoga, Ayurveda, meditation, and psychology for a lasting, optimal outcome.

Emmie's yoga classes are a revelation. Her practice is deep and wide, and the flows she creates within her classes leave us feeling completely rejuvenated and at peace. No two classes are alike, and yet each offers a full body strengthening and limbering experience that is like no other. I treasure her.

Emmie is the best. I consider myself having the most inflexible of bodies. I always feel like a new woman after her gentle yoga class. She uses language that is forgiving, affirming and laced with acceptance. Emmie's knowledge of healing is beyond compare in my estimation. I gave my pregnant daughter a gift certificate for a treatment session. She went on to have a natural childbirth experience. I can't help but attribute her success due to Emmie's preparation. Our community is blessed to be able to benefit from her services.

From Annabelle
I have been extremely blessed to cross paths with Emmie and I have been working with her one on one every week for almost 2 years now! I was referred to Emmie in the fall of 2017 after I had been diagnosed with anxiety, depression, and borderline personality disorder. I was extremely out of balance, disconnected and unhappy day in and day out. I knew I couldn’t go on experiencing life like that, nor did I want to. Every ounce of me was fed up and I realized I had a choice to make. I could do nothing and keep experiencing life as I was, or…I could take a huge leap into the unknown and start working on self-growth. This is when I met Emmie and my entire life changed in ways I could have never imagined possible. Emmie is an incredible human being, through and through. She is so full of love and light that it radiates from her being. Her passion shines through in her work and you can really feel her desire to help other humans flourish on their journey through life. She holds a safe, non-judgmental container for you to openly share and process anything that is coming up for you. She has offered me tools, insights and nuggets of wisdom that have radically transformed my life. Emmie carries a plethora of wisdom pertaining to wellness, mindfulness, Ayurveda, women’s health, Yoga and much more. If you decide to work with her, you are 100% in great hands. I am forever grateful!
